Sometimes we want to reevaluate the path we’re on. We want to make meaningful changes but feel constrained financially, mentally, or both.
Problems don’t just disappear. Becoming confident and alleviating the biggest stressor in many lives can make resolving feelings of discontent and the pursuit of meaning immeasurably easier. Trusting and knowing oneself is immensely freeing and serves as the real catalyst for change.
This hits home for me because I struggled for too long before feeling confident enough to make changes in my own life. While living in Times Square and working as a consultant in Midtown, I felt deeply dissatisfied. This led to several changes that were right for me within a few years. Some were intentional and some were serendipitous: Moving out of NYC, joining the Army National Guard, meeting my best friend and getting married to her, and volunteering weekly.
The point of all this is not to emphasize the changes I made, because everyone’s changes will look different. The point is to highlight that it is essential to be in the financial and mental position to make these meaningful changes a reality. The journey can feel lonely, but there is no need to go at it alone. I am here to help you.
