Hi, I’m Kristin! Believe it or not my first career was in healthcare. I worked as a nurse in the Newborn ICU for 8 years! The number one question I’m asked is how I switched from nursing to financial coaching. I started diligently budgeting when I got my first healthcare job because I was worried about lifestyle creep. That was the best choice I could have made for my 21-year-old self. Since that fateful day, I was able to accomplish many huge goals that money issues would have normally blocked me from. These include paying for trips in cash, taking 6 months unpaid maternity leave, and having a healthy retirement plan. I am the proudest of two big milestones: being able to leave a marriage that no longer served me and a career that I no longer could tolerate.
In my time as a nurse, I witnessed money hold back too many people from their full potential. It was well known that personal finance was my hobby, and my peers would often come to me for advice. As busy healthcare workers, we provide excellent care to our patients but ignore our own wellness. Financial wellness is no exception. I own Fiscal Bliss Financial Coaching (www.fiscal-bliss.com) and have been privileged to serve many professionals of all backgrounds.
I became a certified budget coach in March 2023 and a coach trainer for MyBudgetCoach in December 2023. I am also in the process of earning my Accredited Financial Counselor designation so that I can better serve my clients.
If you’ve been struggling to find a budgeting program you like, give MyBudgetCoach a try! With me as your coach, you have the full support you need balanced with the freedom to plan on your own time. What do you have to lose?
